Nicki grew up touring the states in a converted bus with her musical family. In 2006 she settled in the Midwest and immediately started genre-hopping, fronting a post-punk band and co-fronting the low-fi/indie-folk band Nickels for Charity, lending her accessible and adaptive singer/songwriter style to each project. In her spare time, she sporadically recorded and re-recorded songs for a solo project that ultimately came together as her eclectic 2019 album Happy Songs about Sad Things. She currently teaches music in the Chicagoland area and performs locally as a solo artist.
