At three years old Nicki lived on a farm outside of Rome in Italy before running on the foothills of the Himalayas as a six year in Dharamshala, India, where she spent four years learning Devanagari, Meditation, Kuchipudi dance and Indian Classical music. This would lay the foundation of Nicki's versatile and genre-bending approach as a singer songwriter and composer. With a Father who loved Randy Newman, Tom Waits and Bob Dylan and whose Mum loved Kate Bush and Bach, Nicki's musical influences would become vast and eclectic. Spanning from troubadour songwriters like Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake, through to the cinematic landscapes of Thomas Newman and the undeniable thread of Indian Classical Music, particularly heard through Nicki's unique vocal approach which bridges the worlds of the East and West.
