NICOLA is a celebrated Romanian pop artist best known for representing Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with the hit "Don't Break My Heart," which earned her a Top 10 spot. Her journey began in 1985, and over the decades, she's built a rich career filled with chart-topping singles, international collaborations, and award-winning albums.
After early acclaim with songs like "Cu tălpile goale" and Turquoise, her 2003 track "Lângă mine" became a national anthem, winning "Song of the Year." Her Best of Nicola album went Platinum the same year. In 2008, she teamed up with renowned UK songwriter Thomas Nichols (All Saints, Celine Dion) for the emotional single “Leave No Heart Behind.”
In 2009, Nicola released Thank You, featuring “My Love” — co-produced with KORD and directed by Dragoș Buliga — which gained airplay in the U.S. Their collaboration continued with the 2011 single “Meant 2 Be Mine” (written by Steve Crow of KORD), praised internationally. This was followed by the social-media-inspired “Good Morning (My) Facebook Friend” and the heartfelt ballad “TE IUBESC”, also produced by Steve Crow.
At the end of 2024 Nicola released a new single "SOUND OF A BROKEN HEART" also produced by Steve Crow.With a career defined by vocal excellence, innovation, and international appeal, NICOLA remains one of Romania’s most enduring and versatile musical voices.
