Nicolás Ojeda, composer and upright and electric bass player from Argentina; He study with Guillermo Vadalá, Andrés Fuhr, IUPA and EMPA schools among others.
From 1994 to date, he has performed on the jazz, R&B, experimental, fusion and rock circuit, in addition to musicalizing plays, performances and video art.
In 2013 he released his first solo album "Posibles días en sueños" (PAI Records), positioning him as a “soloist” in the local jazz circuit.
In 2018 he released his second album "MAYO" (PAI Records) a darker and more eclectic album than the previous one, exploring more of his experimental side.
In July 2022, he released his third album “REBOOT [Sesiones Pandémicas]” (ears&eyes Records), together with a series of videoclips made by videoartist Andrea Romio available in Ojeda’s Youtube channel; this new album features Carlos Lastra as a special guest.
Ojeda's musical search continues to deepen in unifying his very different interests and influences, further exposing his eclectic and experimental nature, combining with the language of jazz improvisation and textures that evoke electronic or contemporary experimental music but maintaining preponderance by the acoustic sound of his instrument the double bass as axis or nucleus and in many cases the singing voice of the band.
