Born with Bilateral Congenital Aural Atresia and Microtia (CAAM), a condition affecting 1 in every 100,000 newborns, Nico faced silence before he ever heard sound. Through multiple reconstructive surgeries, he gained the ability to hear — and with it, discovered a lifelong passion for music.
A graduate of Holland College’s School of Performing Arts and Berklee Pathway Student, Nico’s journey is one of resilience, artistry, and heart. His versatility as a guitarist lets him move seamlessly between genres such as funk, neo-soul, smooth jazz, Latin, and folk. He has performed with artists including Diana Delirio, Luisa Güiza, Julia Robichaud, Lefunk, The Soosh, Sophia Elaine, Todd MacLean, and Jon MacInnis, bringing his signature warmth and groove to every stage.
Nico’s songwriting explores deeply personal themes — from changing dreams and letting go, to rediscovering one’s place in the world. His music invites listeners to reflect, heal, and embrace the beauty of transformation.
