NIGE and TREV is an experimental recording project centred around the song writing, guitar playing and music production of Mick Clack, and the vocals of Frank Fish.

According to self-styled Oxford music expert and studio bouncer ‘Rooftop Ron’: “Frankie and Micky, aka Nigel and Trevor, have a passionate, no rules, devil-may-care, circus-brained approach to creating their musical compositions which invariably results in a rapturously melodic hotch-potch of euphoric, funk-folk-pandemonium peppered with fevered bursts of werewolf gibberish reminiscent of Captain Beefheart and the great Lord Buckley with distant echoes of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis and the Marx Brothers.”

Nige and Trev are often joined in Mick’s studio by fellow Oxford musician Dale ‘Whale’ Marshall, the original drummer of FRANK FISH and the FINS, and they have also featured guest musicians such as Andre Van Solinge (guitar) Paul Gibbon (keyboards), Perry Smith (shrieking) and Rose Kemp (vocals) on their studio recordings.

NB: All Nige and Trev’s musical activities are now confined to the relative safety of the recording studio due to their over enthusiastic use of cold canned soup at gigs.
