Night of the Lotuseater tunes into new sonic waves, and rock the intertidals of the world heritage great barrier riffs. Some may call it North Sea rock, as desert rock is unlikely happening from the Netherlands, however the Dutch coast does stretch to like 523 kms full of dunes…
Enacted in ´99 in ´t Bûtenposter Rockdoarp after the breakup of the legendary Frisian band Pir (Their style described by journalists as afro-metal punkrock and other Belgian 90s idiocy), their first live gig was as support for the well known Dutch Excelsior Recordings artist Meindert Talma. Between the intertidals of two decades the band has been performing on rare exclusive occasions, such as Freeze Festival (3x) and the first edition of festival Into the Void, a line-up with the likes of Monomyth, Midnight Ghost Train, New Keepers of the Water Towers and more and supporting Drive Like Maria, Tides of Nebula among others.
They released ÆPOS ONE - An Electric Production Of Space, in 2015, recorded at the Super-Nova Studios in Eindhoven, by Bob de Wit (White Hills, RMFTM), and mastered by Pieter Kloos (7zuma7, Celestial Season, Motorpsycho). A 5 track EP, including the tracks ´Stockholm´ and ´Berlin´, has been well received and sparked interest throughout Europe.
The band is currently on-and-off writing new material, and are planning for the next 'ÆPOS' sessions to record.
