Night Works is the solo project of Gabriel Stebbing, a former member of <a href="spotify:artist:1C5tgx6bD9uLLQtFUHCMcd" data-name="Your Twenties">Your Twenties</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:54QMjE4toDfiCryzYWCpXX" data-name="Metronomy">Metronomy</a>, and studio and live affiliate of <a href="spotify:artist:04vj3iPUiVh5melWr0w3xT" data-name="Christine and the Queens">Christine and the Queens</a>. Musically, sharp songwriting chops and loose-limbed funk are the order of the day, with lyrical preoccupations covering seduction, money, confidence, sex and death - the usual stuff. Debut album <a href="spotify:album:3k4F8kJw2LhSg3ibdOsAv2" data-name="Urban Heat Island">Urban Heat Island</a> was released to widespread acclaim in 2013, lead track <a href="spotify:track:2UBe8L1Fj4YEROqlSbuDHe" data-name="I Tried so Hard - Extended Mix">I Tried so Hard - Extended Mix</a> continuing to make waves.
2022 saw <a href="spotify:album:4FOGdyX9K00uGWxdiFbxG8" data-name="A friend indeed">A friend indeed</a>, <a href="spotify:album:45N9lFTPLodKZ9FkFNvtCf" data-name="Good Love">Good Love</a>, <a href="spotify:track:4X0S75xQtGIZJ6acBCQ7bC" data-name="Lachrymose">Lachrymose</a> and <a href="spotify:album:7j4dBgTGa727hC4eMlDioj" data-name="Brunch 4 U">Brunch 4 U</a> setting the scene for second LP ‘Tongue & Groove’.
