Nightbird (Anna-Stina Jungerstam), a Vaasa-born singer-songwriter and guitarist located in Helsinki. Her songs are equally rooted in Finnish melancholy and the great American folk treasures. Nightbird sings the soundtrack to sleepless nights, blending velvet midnight jazz songs and moon-gazing slide guitars to the echo of the delta pioneers.
Since the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album "Nightbird" in 2015, she has toured extensively in Europe, while also making a few appearances in Finnish TV-shows, such as Efter Nio and Strömsö. Her follow-up album "Travelin’ Baby" was recorded in neo-classical pianist Matti Bye’s studio in Stockholm and was released in November 2020 with great reviews.
A new album called “Out of These Days” will be released in the spring of 2024.
