Nightjjar is the moniker of Aden Pearce, an artist/producer in Bristol.
Originally from Reading, he established himself amongst the Thames Valley’s music scene with festival appearances and support to the likes of Roddy Woomble, which also brought him some national attention via 6 Music and Fresh on the Net.
After the debut EP Footsteps in 2017, Pearce released The King of Insincere, gaining national airplay and establishing Nightjjar in the local scene, followed by an eponymous full-length album at the end of 2020.
Collaborations with friends led to more production work, mixing/mastering two acclaimed albums for alt-folk artist Lee Switzer-Woolf and various work with electo-rock act Dakorra amongst others.
Since moving up the M4 during lockdown, Pearce has also recorded a more stripped-back set of songs for the folkier album ‘White Dahlias’, put out late last year (2023) under his own name.
New Nightjjar material is due at the end of 2024.
