Nightmare in Rome is a band of anti-heroes based in Rome, year 2045, fronted by singer and guitarist Lilith, and backed by Mario on bass, Comehere on keys and electronics and Sushi on drums.
It’s 2045. In Rome, time has collapsed: no past, no future. Just an endless present, looping like a perfectly cut reel. Life isn’t lived, it’s consumed. What was once the Eternal City is now the new Urbe, ruled by a twenty-year-old influencer and sealed beneath an artificial climate dome. Outside, chaos reigns. Survival means crawling through the mud.
Yet some still resist. Some still play. They are Nightmare in Rome, and they risk everything. Their gigs are acts of cultural resistance, where music becomes escapism, salvation. They’re more than a band, they are a sonic ideal, exorcising the dystopias of a post-apocalyptic future.
Their weapons? Samples taken from the CAM Sugar soundtrack catalogue.
Their allies? A line-up of artists stretching from rap to electronica, including Ghostface Killah, member of the Wu-Tang Clan.
