Nikitaa is an LA-based singer-songwriter-producer born and raised in India. Melding ethereal Pop/RnB with their South Asian heritage, Nikitaa makes fem-empowering music that emphasizes that gender & emotional expression are never singular. Featured on NMF playlists across the world for their award winning third release “Majesty”, their singles in 2020 were released in lockdown with self-directed & produced videos that received critical acclaim and soared on Spotify and YouTube. 2021 saw a collaboration with Flyana Boss (“Boomerang”). Nikitaa spent 2023 exploring vulnerability and power like never before with singles like 'Scheming', 'On My Own', 'Peter Pan', 'Throne', ‘Daddy Era’, and ‘Truman Show’ which have received coverage on Rolling Stone India, Radio One India, and Ones To Watch playlist 'Now Watching'. In 2024 Nikitaa released their EP “Ascension”, songs from which were featured on Shazam’s “Best New Music” playlist as well as Rolling Stone USA’s “Songs You Need To Know”. Nikitaa’s subsequent release “Pillow Prince” also featured on Them’s “Sapphic Artists of Color” playlist.
Nikitaa is primed to release their second EP “Leaving Stockholm” this spring - a study in the deeply vulnerable and relatable experiences of an artist experiencing heartbreak.
