Hi there! I'm Niko Cabrera, a passionate songwriter, music producer, and wholehearted
drummer. Since I was 12 years old, I've been captivated by the world of drumming, and
this passion has guided me on a journey filled with recognitions such as being a 5-time
Latin Grammy nominee, winning Best Drummer on Colombian National Radio in 2017,
and earning both a gold album and a double platinum album with Doctor Kápula, a
mestizo rock band with almost 30 years of nonstop music re-evolution.
With a solid foundation as a professional musician and a Berklee College of Music
certified producer, I've had the privilege of working on incredible projects with artists
such as Manu Chao, Seeed, Celso Piña, Juanes, Ska-P, Los Auténticos Decadentes, Los
Caligaris, and Dubioza Kolektiv, among others. These experiences have not only honed
my skills but also broadened my perspective, allowing me to transform ideas and
feelings into musical compositions.
Outside of my professional life, you'll find me playing video games, watching anime, and
traveling with my family, always seeking new sources of inspiration and ways to connect
with the beauty around us.
I'm thrilled to be working on a new electro-latin groove side project called Radio Jaguar
and eager to continue pushing the boundaries of creativity while collaborating with
other passionate musicians.
