Nikos Tsiachris

Based in Berlin, Germany, Nikos Tsiachris is a professional guitarist and composer that has dedicated most of his lifetime to music. He grew up in Greece and graduated classical guitar and Musicology in Thessaloniki. He was 23 years old when he officially started studying the Flamenco guitar. A year later he decided to live and study guitar in Andalucia, where he became disciple of Rafael Habichuela in Granada.
He settled down in Berlin and began his career as a professional musician. In 2012 he founded Rasgueo, a Flamenco Jazz project, with which he released Waterfall in 2015 and Echo in 2019. Among these recordings he released Alcance in 2017, his first solo album, that received the Top of the World award by the British Songlines magazine. Primavera en Berlin, his second solo album, will be released in December 2021.
With his own compositions he achieved a personal approach to modern flamenco, that may include jazz improvisation, fusion or classical influences, however, his playing is rooted in flamenco tradition.
