Nikozomik

Nikozomik was formed in 2019 by brothers Vernon and Jerome Belaunde, aiming to produce a project that involves Music and other forms of media. The band delves deep into the adventures of Ærina, a young girl that lives in a dystopic city, lead by an authoritarian and enigmatic regime.

The music takes inspiration from modern Progressive Metal such as <a href="spotify:artist:0GDGKpJFhVpcjIGF8N6Ewt" data-name="Gojira">Gojira</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6d24kC5fxHFOSEAmjQPPhc" data-name="Periphery">Periphery</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:2SRIVGDkdqQnrQdaXxDkJt" data-name="Haken">Haken</a>, Prog-rock classic such as <a href="spotify:artist:3CkvROUTQ6nRi9yQOcsB50" data-name="Genesis">Genesis</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2Hkut4rAAyrQxRdof7FVJq" data-name="Rush">Rush</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7ai5TWiOG8g9Hds5AATS28" data-name="Marillion">Marillion</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5NXHXK6hOCotCF8lvGM1I0" data-name="Porcupine Tree">Porcupine Tree</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2yEwvVSSSUkcLeSTNyHKh8" data-name="TOOL">TOOL</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:75U40yZLLPglFgXbDVnmVs" data-name="The Mars Volta">The Mars Volta</a> among others, and Japanese media such as manga or videogames, introducing within the new generation of Progressive Metal born during the Pandemic of Covid 19.

Nikozomik&#96;s lyrics aim to explore the core of human beings and the way the band thinks the society articulates, at the same time we explore the underworld city where the young Ærina lives. Exchanging energetic riffs with ferocious metric changes, Nikozomik proposes a new mix between Progressive rock, Djent, and Japanese rock.
