Nina Garcia

Singer/songwriter Nina Garcia started performing at 9 playing fiddle and singing in the family Rock band Sydling Stompers. They supported, among others, The Dubliners, Davey Arthur (The Furey) and recorded two albums. They were favourites at Guernsey Int and Sidmouth Festivals as well as top venues in the UK including The Mean Fiddler and The Green Room. By the time Nina was 14 she had performed on Radio 2’s Folk on 2.

Nina formed Celtic rock band ‘Jigsaw’ with her brother, well known Dorset based fiddle player Benny Wain. She toured the UK extensively, often performing 6 nights a week. She wrote for the group, who performed at Kilburn Irish Festival supporting Shane McGowan and the Pogues. Nina was also lead vocalist in Jazz quintet ‘Section 5’.

Nina embarked upon a solo career as ‘Nina Garcia’. She performed at Hampton Court, for our Royal family and in Nashville, Alabama, Amarillo and Wellington, South Africa.

Nina has been commissoned to write songs for a new musical, Tolpuddle by US production company ‘Walk on Part Productions’ and has been cast as leading lady “Betsy Loveless”.

Nina is currently co writing and recording a project with Nashville based Grammy and Dove nominated, Juno award winning producer Roger Ryan (Whitney Houston, Wynonna Judd, CeCe Winans). Roger produced ‘It’s Ok To Not Be Ok’. Nina's new single. This single will be released in January 2021.
