Nina Joory is a Brazilian and Swiss singer and songwriter. She grew up in a cosmopolitan and international environment in Geneva, speaking French, Portuguese and English. Little did she know her language flexibility would tremendously impact her musical career later on. She then left for Boston to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. During her time at Berklee, she had already stepped into her professional career, doing many back and forths between Boston and Rio de Janeiro, and eventually ended up moving to Rio de Janeiro.
These last four years have been pivotal to Nina, as that is when she learnt to speak Spanish: with her friends. This passion of learning has allowed her to step into the Latin industry not only as a performer but as a songwriter as well.
Nina had started releasing music early in her career, but when COVID hit, she took the advantage to reinvent her artistry and her sound. During quarantine, she decided to stop writing for herself for a while and focus on writing for other artists in order to explore more styles and genres.
As of now, Nina has a lot of new future releases under her sleeve, which merge English, Portuguese and Spanish, in the styles of The Weeknd, BANKS as well as with Latin Urban and Brazilian influences. “Otra Noche Contigo” will be the first single pave the way towards her new musical chapter. Stay tuned!
