“Where words fail, music speaks”. This quote, attributed to the Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen, describes my understanding of music as storytelling-an avenue to remind listeners that amidst our diverse journeys, we're bound by the same longing for love, respect, and recognition.

From the age of about 9 or 10, when I first sang solo before an audience, I felt an inexplicable comfort with the mic and the stage, and a great love for the melodies I sang and heard. I didn’t decide then that I wanted to be a singer, because in Uganda, where singing wasn't deemed a viable profession, that path was unconventional. Yet, the desire to make music on a professional level persisted, well into my adult life.

The spark to write songs ignited when Debbie Gibson's lyrics in "Didn't Have The Heart" spoke to me. From there, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion became my guides, their melodies shaping my early years. Influences like Josh Groban, India Arie, Emeli Sande and Juliana Kanyomozi have further enriched my musical journey.
Great academic achievements and a successful engineering career could not quell the yearning for musical expression. Instead, my yearning grew to the point where I had to embrace music wholeheartedly, resigning from the corporate world to follow my passion.

Born to diverse Ugandan roots, I write in Luganda, Runyankore, and English. I invite you to join me on a journey where music transcends boundaries.
