The Artist
The Surinamese/Dutch Artist from Amsterdam fluctuated between multiple styles of beats,
but when he travelled to Jamaica in the summer of 2011 it was clear to him: Reggae music is the way to go.

Since his debut album in 2012 (<a href="spotify:album:6cwit2Mjnwuw2c4uX96Gwd" data-name="Like a Bosch">Like a Bosch</a>) he has performed in France, Germany, Belgium, Norway, Lithuania
and all around his home country the Netherlands.
Through the years has developed a distinctive sound, which was also studied for.
Charan graduated from the Dutch National Pop Academy in the summer of 2013.
The Producer
After his big break producing a song for <a href="spotify:artist:2JX4h8xm0hNxCB0aNBWzyi" data-name="Gyptian">Gyptian</a> in 2012,
he started receiving airplay and exposure in Europe, U.S.A. and South America.
This sparked the attention of many Caribbean Artists/DJ's, hence a steady production workflow was created.
He is known for his Dancehall riddims with an EDM twist.
The combination of African, Indian and Latin American rhytms and percussion mixed with
synth based beats are his trademark.
Charan won the 2014 National 'Rhymes & Beats' finals and received the Award for best Producer.

Charan is a real all-rounder. With his activities as a
Artist/Producer/Label Owner/Manager/Studio Engineer/Entertainer/Live booker
he lives up to his nickname 'Charantula'.
