Born in Soweto and bred in Orange Farm, NJ Kunene made his solo debut with ballad "Lizwe Lami" (2017), non-traditional Gospel, Afro Soul and Afro Pop singer and songwriter. His gospel background comes to play and, having written for major household brands such as Audrey Mbuyazi, Loyiso Bala, Verona Pillay and Lebo Skgobela to name a few. NJ Kunene is signed to Universal Music Publishing and Ditto Music.
