Behind NJP is Nicholas John Peppes, a Detroit-based DJ and producer deeply immersed in music since childhood. With family actively involved in the arts — Nick grew up in an environment rich with creativity; beginning with piano lessons at 8 years of age. It wasn’t long before he developed a deep passion for composing his own music. With influences such as Martin Garrix, KSHMR, and more, Nick began experimenting with electronic music when he was just 12 years old, paving the way for the artist he is today.

In 2021, after 7 years of honing his skills across various genres, Nick launched the NJP project to focus on a unique blend of deep, melodic, and tech house, inspired by the works of John Summit, KREAM, and more. Since then, NJP has taken the Detroit music scene by storm – as Detroit has been instrumental in shaping NJP’s career. Being part of the city that gave birth to techno has enriched his appreciation for house & techno music. The collaborative and close-knit community of Detroit DJs continues to inspire his sound and performances.
