No Showers On Vacation is more than a band. It's a group of people playing music together. Those people are Sam Lyons (drums), Alden Nichols (keys), Emmett Lurssen (guitar), Calvin Wuthrich (bass), and Pat Maley (saxophone).
The idea for a band was born as Sam and Emmett attended high school and jammed together in the San Francisco Bay Area. When the two relocated to Burlington, VT in 2018 to attend college they slowly but surely crossed paths with Alden, Calvin, and Pat. Gradually the group took shape with a number of performances on the University of Vermont campus and the release of their debut EP "Bath Time: Miami" in September of 2020. The 10-track album "AQUABAND" released 2/26/2021. Sonically, it could be described as if you dropped a nuclear reactor into the Coconut Mall Mario Kart track.
The music of NSOV is timely, and yet timeless. It is music whose time has come.
That time is now.
