Born in 1991, Germany, Phillipp P.K.A 'Noclu' first ventured into producing in 2006 through the medium of trance music. Energetic basslines and melodic synths drew him to the genre which still feature heavily in his work to this day.
After experiencing the shattering sub-bass of @Rusko at a local venue, 'Noclu' became enamoured with the guttural punch of Dubstep. Taking initial inspiration from the Dubstep scene, his curiosity and desire for experimentation in bass music lead him to the more atmospheric sounds of Sorrow, Burial and CoMa.
Gradually honing this ‘deeper’ sonic direction, Noclu secured a limited 7" vinyl release on Empty Rich Heart Records. His knack for self-promotion and strong social media following meant that 2013 saw him gain recognition and write-ups from blogs such as EDM.com, as well as support from the likes of UKF, which soon lead to a release with AEI, which featured the very talented MC Maksim with their single 'Life'.
Fast forward to 2015, Noclu secured 001 on the very reputable 'Duploc' with a 2-track EP which was closely followed with the release of HTCH007 on 'Hatched', founded by Dubstep pioneer 'Hatcha', unleashing 4 original tracks and 1 remix.
Now in 2018, Noclu has released a 4 year in the making album (The Y remixes) with good friends AniYo Kore on his home label 'Sublime Audio' as-well as the much anticipated KKJ001, 'Folding Shadows' EP on newly founded label, 'Kikuji'.
