NoGenre is a Hungarian alternative metal band that was formed in Vác in 2016. NoGenre's music is a blend of alternative metal, classic rock and hardcore punk with a unique sound that is distinctly their own.
The band's first album, "Petőfeeling", was released in 2018, and it sets 9 poems from Sándor Petőfi to music with a setting as the Hungarian revolution of 1848.
Since then, NoGenre has continued to release music that showcases their evolution as a band. Their second single "világvége blues", released in 2018, demonstrated their ability to experiment with different genres and sounds, while still maintaining their signature style. The band also released a cover of "witch doctor" which gained popularity on YouTube and Tik Tok.
NoGenre's second album, "Backlog EP", released in 2023, represents the band's most ambitious and polished work yet. All the songs are played, mixed and mastered by singer Péter Juhász, and a shift in the sound off NoGenre is starting to take place.
NoGenre's live shows are a testament to their status as one of the most exciting and dynamic bands in Hungary. Their high-energy performances have earned them a reputation as a must-see act, and they have played at numerous festivals and venues throughout the country.
