Nokio cortez

Lwandile Nokio Khumalo, known professionally as Nokio Cortez, is a rising R&B,pop singer & rapper from eMondlo, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Born on July 15, 2007, Nokio brings a fresh, emotionally driven sound to the South African music scene, blending smooth vocals with modern pop and soul-infused melodies.

Currently in his first year at Walter Sisulu University, Nokio is quickly making his mark as a bold and authentic new voice. Drawing inspiration from artists like Azana, Doja Cat, Tyla, and Shekhinah, he uses music to explore themes of love, heartbreak, identity, and self-expression — proudly embracing his journey as a young, gay artist.

On July 31, Nokio Cortez released his debut EP, 3 Spades, a three-track collection that introduces his heartfelt style and lyrical vulnerability. The EP features the songs:
