NOMDECODE SPARTACUS: NEW MONKEY MUSIC FROM PARIS

Did you know? When the movie "Planet of the apes" was about to be released, the director Franklin James Schaffner decided to have the music written and played by apes. As a tribute to the French origin of the story, the novel by Pierre Boule, he asked two French apes, known as monkey M and monkey S, to record a score for the movie.

Having trouble finding electricity for their electronic instruments in the wilderness they still lived in, the two animals did deliver the score, but too late for the theatrical release, and the production had to use human music instead.

Out of despair, the two apes buried the tapes and their music was never found, nor heard, again.

Today, as a souvenir of these two pioneers, Nomdecode Spartacus are happy to release new monkey music from France for your listening pleasure.

Legal notes:
This is NOT the original lost score for the movie. This is just a tribute.
Also, at the risk of not wanting to offend any creatures, we accept that Monkeys and Apes are not the same animals.
