Nomfundo Yekani

Nomfundo Nkutha, also known as Nomfundo Yekani, is a rapper and songwriter from Thokoza which is situated in the East Rand of Johannesburg in South Africa. Nomfundo is known for her originality and versatility which is showcased in her storytelling over various unique sounds.

Over the years, Nomfundo has built a name for herself with having had collaborated with various artists and appearing on one of the biggest podcasts in Africa PODCAST & CHILL with MacG where she first made her showcase into the industry. Through her journey in Hip-Hop, Nomfundo created an audio series known as "Half Klutch" with her first tape being "Half Klutch (Side A)" which was re-released on the 14th of June 2024. Over and above this mixtape release, she has remained consistent with her freestyles on her YouTube channel with her highest performing freestyle being for "Violence". It has been through these freestyles and releases that Nomfundo Yekani got to make her debut at one of Africa's biggest Hip-Hop festivals "Back To The City" in 2022 which was then followed by a major opportunity which allowed her to host the festival 2024.

She now prepares to release her sequel to her "Half Klutch" series titled "Half Klutch (Side B)" which features the likes of Maggz, AB Crazy, Napster and Thekidsnextdoor. The sequel is set for release on the 29th of November 2024, closing off the "Half Klutch" chapter.
