Noni Culotta

Singer-songwriter Noni Culotta writes whimsical folk and pop anthems that stir the soul.

A Texas native with Irish-Italian roots, Noni was raised on the ballads of great American and Irish songwriters, with sing-songs and storytelling at the center of every family gathering.

With a shimmering, melodic voice that quiets bar halls and a charmingly earnest approach to lyric writing that conjures comparisons to Iris Dement and the Late Nanci Griffith, Noni delivers intricately woven, timeless melodies and hooky refrains that blanket you with warmth and refuse to be forgotten.

Noni studied Drama at NYU and spent ten years in NYC writing and performing original music in the subways, bars and theatres of Manhattan and Brooklyn. She has collaborated as a songwriter with artists, musicians, filmmakers and theatre writers from all over the globe, and has written over a hundred songs.

Her debut record Gimme Sunshine was recorded in Austin Texas at Dream Recording Studios with friends and is backed by a loving community of Kickstarter supporters.
