Norio is a new alias from Japanese filmmaker, documentarian, and electronic musician Noriaki Okamoto.
Previously releasing four albums under the moniker “okamotonoriaki” between 2010 and 2018, Noriaki will be releasing his debut album as Norio titled ‘Somebody’ on Hush Hush Records on October 28th, 2022.
As a filmmaker, he visited many places and began to think about the humanity of groups and individuals, places and cultures, and the people who inhabit them.
He lives in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, a regional city in Japan, and creates music based on his daily life there and his own experiences.
