Norma

Norma was formed and in the beginning also rehearsing in a living room, ”This way we could sit comfortable, having a glass wine and watch a movie as inspiration at the same time as rehearsing”. In the beginning the band was very influenced by the movies of David Lynch and his film music working with instruments like pedal steel, old organs and synthesizers. After a while the trio started rehearsing in a shelter and a bigger, heavier more kraut influenced sound started to grow which resulted in the debut EP ”1”, 2007. One and a half year later the full length album, ”Book of Norma” was released, late 2008 followed by the album "The invisible mother" 2013.

The upcoming album has probably the most organic sound of the trios albums so far, recorded during full moon in the classic Silence studio which is located in the mighty forests of Värmland, Sweden. But you will still recognize Norma’s way of exploring and playing with sounds, samples and instruments creating big atmospheres and landscapes with the music. The album is also probably the darkest one so far describing torn and broken characters, relations and dark fragments of the world.
