Northstar is the pioneering West Coast duo of Christbearer and Meko the Pharaoh, the first group ever signed to the Wu-Tang Clan from the West Coast by RZA, under the banner of the Black Knights of the Northstar collective. Two sharp-witted MCs who brought a West Coast energy to the East Coast-founded Wu-Tang movement. Mentored and executive produced by RZA, Northstar first emerged in the early 2000s, blending spiritual introspection, cinematic storytelling, and street-edge lyricism into one unmistakable voice.

Their debut album, Bobby Digital Presents Northstar, introduced them to the world with production steeped in Shaolin soundscapes and raw vulnerability. Christbearer’s unfiltered honesty and esoteric bars, paired with Meko’s cool-headed delivery and street-sage perspective, made them stand out among Wu-Tang’s extended family.

Rooted in Los Angeles but sonically global, Northstar reflects themes of struggle, redemption, and resilience — often diving into themes of mysticism, Black identity, and spiritual warfare. Whether delivering razor-sharp solo verses or tag-teaming with Wu affiliates, the duo continues to evolve while honoring the legacy that birthed them.
