Spain's very first certifiable boy band, Not Guilty? are made up of singers/dancers Javier Moreno, David Olea, and Pedro Olea. Walking in the steps of groups like Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC, the group combines upbeat pop sounds with complex choreography and even the occasional magic trick. The group's founding member, David Olea, was inspired from a young age watching New Kids on the Block take the dance music market by storm. This ignited a passion for dance and choreography, which David would exercise in local festivals and exhibitions throughout his early years. His collaborations with friends not yielding anything new or stimulating, Olea set forth to form a group of his own. Ranging in size from two to five members, Olea's groups went through various stages before finding cohesion. Settling on his brother Pedro and former backup dancer Javier Moreno, Not Guilty? were born. Following many years of hard work, the group's debut CD was released in 2006, featuring songs written by notable names like Avril Lavigne. The self-titled album was followed by an aggressive marketing campaign on Spanish national television, including hundreds of ads and a series of ten-minute "making of" segments over the course of six months. ~ Evan C.
