It’s been a long time coming for multi instrumentalist producer Ben Atta and singer songwriter <a href="spotify:artist:3nyN05ommhSBDZOt3ZhuV7" data-name="Kay Oscar">Kay Oscar</a> who make up NOVAKANE. No strangers to the scene, the two have been grinding for years and earning their stripes in Jakarta and it has landed them in the top charts over in Malaysia for their collaboration with <a href="spotify:artist:4pw0ZfX3PzaBXQu1qL5G0p" data-name="Emir Hermono">Emir Hermono</a> and also a guest spot to perform at WE THE FEST 2017.
The two can be found on tracks with local hip hop hustlers <a href="spotify:artist:0AsbBukUWcA4lJT5ARtlgQ" data-name="Ramengvrl">Ramengvrl</a> <a href="spotify:artist:59t6QP0jd5vNknacUSoe5f" data-name="Gbrand">Gbrand</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2w1klrlMW8RqL6YLOy0OKs" data-name="Ben Utomo">Ben Utomo</a> along with NOCTEM producers <a href="spotify:artist:0TxFZMlwdxyPOYiQqx6RnE" data-name="Decemberkid">Decemberkid</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7tg1p4ColG2xpcWMm6RrDd" data-name="NAJ">NAJ</a>. Funny enough their tongue in cheek track about the lovely Tara Basro (titled after her) found its way to the actress herself and she reacted to it on national television.
Years in the making - NOVAKANE are finally bold enough to put out their debut release the ROMANCE EP. Inspired by the ups and downs of their high school years, the body of work centers around love, youth and passion.
