NRFNDR write songs that feel like late-night confessions. Their style is that of a modern indie-pop artist: gentle melodies, honest lyrics, and emotional vulnerability, but with a thread of optimism that sets their music apart.
Formed in May 2024 for a school project requiring an original song, the group quickly evolved from classmates to collaborators as they discovered a shared passion for writing and performing. The band includes Aries as lead vocalist/guitar, Messiah as lead guitarist/synth, Jericho Barros as bassist, and John David Visaya as drummer.
NRFNDR gained early traction after being selected as one of the main acts for Nostradamus Junior's "RANIAG" album launch tour in early October 2025, performing across multiple stops. This opportunity introduced the band to wider music communities in Baguio, La Union, and Manila, marking their entry into the regional music scene. Their partnership with Nostradamus Junior extended beyond the tour and into 2026, solidifying NRFNDR as one of the group's key supporting and collaborating acts.
Individually, members also made notable contributions: Messiah, NRFNDR's guitarist, co-produced Nostradamus Junior's Christmas release "Darating Din," while Aries, the band's lead vocalist, performed live with Nostradamus Junior during the San Juan, La Union Surf Break on November 1, 2025. NRFNDR also made their main-act debut at El Union Coffee Baguio, cementing their presence in the northern indie community.
