Nu Edison

Nu Edison is a rap artist and songwriter based in Johannesburg, South Africa. His musical influences include Jazz, R&B & Hip Hop. He draws inspiration from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, SABA, AKA, Thandi Ntuli, Mick Jenkins, Childish Gambino and more. His style of music can be described as honest, melodic, spiritual and playful which includes a blend of African soul and contemporary urban music. His message is to spread light through sharing his own trials and tribulations and to encourage people to be more vulnerable in the face of pain, in order to achieve a deeper sense of self love. He is passionate about story telling, the art of communication as well as relationships. He works closely with good friend and producer Tsukudu Moroeng. His biggest achievements thus far is obtaining a degree in Business Science majoring in strategic management from Monash university, increasing his fan base through the release of various singles and project releases such as ‘Light Bloomer’ & ‘KRA$H’. He aims to further expand his fan base to global heights, to perform his music all over the world and to make a difference in his life and impact the lives of others over the span of his career. The rap artist recently released his first single titled ‘IDK Peace' which features and was produced by composer/Producer and musician, Phonikz.
As well as a second single featuring singer/song-writer Lucille Slade.
