NYALLAH is a Sierra Leonean-American vocalist, songwriter, composer and producer from Los Angeles. A graduate of USC’s Popular Music program, their artistry draws on the rich traditions of Black music, using their creative practice as a vessel for both personal and collective transformation.
NYALLAH has collaborated with artists such as Jean Deaux, Def Sound, Bobby Sanchez, and Black Nile, and has shared stages with notable acts like Tiffany Gouche, Amindi, Liv.e, Durand Bernarr, Rico Nasty, and Sheila E.
Their debut EP, <a href="spotify:album:2xtUmac2PmSXXNgY17Qvkp" data-name="REFLECTIONS">REFLECTIONS</a> (2019), established NYALLAH as a vital voice in the music scene, earning features in Bandcamp Daily and Teen Vogue for their innovative sound.
Their second release, <a href="spotify:album:3dckex1Ist2k7T5JugNtrc" data-name="R+B">R+B</a> (2023), has been celebrated for its fresh queer perspective on R&B, blending classic and alternative elements while transforming traumatic experiences into powerful art.
With support from grants like WeHo Pride’s Community Group and NYFA’s City Artist Corps, NYALLAH expands their impact by merging music, community, and cultural preservation. Their music has achieved sync placements in acclaimed projects, including SHOUTOUT 2 MY THERAPIST, Finding Phoebe, the web series GROWN, and Maria Alvarez's award-winning film Party of Two.
NYALLAH has performed and presented work at Public Records, The Peppermint Club, Baby’s All Right, the Brooklyn Museum, and Fotografiska. Their music has garnered attention from platforms like Bandcamp, NTS Radio, Afropunk, and the Washington Post.
