Nymoz is the stage name of Hamburg-based Drum and Bass DJ/producer Patrick Kontopidis. After releasing his first longplayer “Phoenix Ascending” independently in 2021, his music attracted noticeable attention in the scene. With the additional reach out as a DJ that same year, he played his music during several shows at underground festivals, which he received massive respect and consistently positive feedback for.
Unfazed by trends and hypes, he creates his own and unique style of DnB. His works contain both the combination of electronic music with classical music theory, as well as drops that simply just roll. With a background in piano playing and a penchant for experiments, the studied musicologist is always searching for new approaches in composing and sound design. That includes playing around with analogue distortion pedals and generating own impulse responses, among many many other things — and the story has just begun, there is much more to come.
