Im a visual artist, a scientist, a musician, a world traveler, a cannabis company founder, a published writer, and all kinds of other stuff. It's at least a trilogy's worth of adventure.So here's the story: I had promised myself when I was 23 that I would release a record before I was 50. The memory of that promise would occasionally surface, but be quickly cast to the wayside. I experimented a bit in my mid 20's ( nyse-one.com ). I dabbled again around 2003, but then sold all my equipment. My promise became a distant memory.The first quarter of 2020 came and most of the modern world slowed and stuttered under the weight of the Covid-19. During one of those sleepless nights, that promise surfaced once again. I would be 50 years old only a few months later, and I had yet to record a single song, let alone an entire album. The beaches were closed, my company was in a nosedive and my demeanor was none too positive. My self-esteem was crushed, and I reached out for the people and old pursuits that made me happy. I reached out to the streets, to art and people from my past. What I found was surprising. I discovered that although the vectors of our lives were all so very different, growing up in Los Angeles' early hip hop and graffiti scene of the 1980's had a profound impact on us all, one that would create a deep and timeless connection. By way of those friendships and those outstanding people, I finally found the courage to share my music.
