O Simples Mente is an emerging artist, composer and producer. While searching for a way out of his head, playing with words and melodies turned out to be a happy escape to the daily overthinking spiral. As a fan of the D.I.Y. culture, it took only a microphone, a laptop, a guitar and a couple of wine bottles to produce the first EP: Vino Blanco at 4AM. Co-created, produced and interpreted with Leexo, Vino Blanco tells a fictional love story between the two artists incorporating a lot of the “bedroom pop” sonority.

Follows O Puto, a spoken-word project that explores the struggle of a self-conscious teenager in the modern society. Released in May 2023, this collaboration with Marrquise’s piano, navigates through the worlds of jazz, hip-hop and indie music, giving life to poems written in the last years. The Concept of O Puto also inspired a ceramic tile exhibition, where the visitor was invited to an immersive audiovisual experience.

Always chasing collaboration, follows LeirBaG’s debut EP – PROCURA – fully produced and recorded by O Simples Mente. His last release was CASTELOS, a very intimate single exploring the loneliness of living in his head.

For now, he keeps chasing new flavors and textures for his next personal project and excited to commit to any collaborative challenge towards the creation of honest art.
