O° or “O to the power of zero” is an experimental music project started in 2009 by Oleksandr Melnyk. Its main purpose is to expand and find new ways of perceiving and experiencing the sound and its semantics. The name is a symbolic representation of the hydrogen atom, zero degrees Celcius, earth and moon and the chaotic duality of our lives and/or the infinity. Since most distribution platforms do not allow search of the set symbols, I sometime use different variations of the name: Oo, °o, o°, O∘, O₀.
