After 6 years of public musical inactivity and armed with nothing but a laptop, an array of guitars and some effects pedals, Dan set about writing music for no particular reason. In early 2020, he finally had a collection of songs he deemed worthy of public consumption and under the moniker of 'Oakey', Dan released his debut solo single, 'People Are Changing', on 1st May. Drawing from diverse influences which range from The Smiths to LCD Soundsystem, from Idles to Pulp and from the rage-fuelled to the serene, bedroom production and indie stylings collate an array of inspirations into a cohesive whole.
