Obsidian Youth is created by means of artificial intelligence and audio samples found or recorded on-site. The project is lead by Giuliano Bruno of Springfield, MO. The goal behind the project is to blend different genres of music together using artificial intelligence. The Obsidian Youth project is about celebrating music by exploring the boundaries between various genres and sounds (or the lack thereof). What began in May of 2024 as an artistic interrogation of emergent technologies has become a poetic outlet and platform for expression. Obsidian Youth aims to embrace an eternally child-like, playful approach to music making, and an awareness of darker, more difficult aspects of living in the world today.
