Oceantown is a weekend project I (<a href="spotify:artist:5kFXOx8ONHOsWhXc2uOfuq" data-name="Daniel Ciurlizza">Daniel Ciurlizza</a>) set up and produced with my composer/producer/sound designer friends who I mix, write, produce, and work with.
When I'm not working on this, I'm:
- Writing music for films, trailers, ads, and other visual media;
- Cooking dinner too late and listening to an audiobook;
- Thinking of different ways I can be better at helping the people I work and interact with.
The name OCEANTOWN is inspired by the Studio Ghibli / Hayao Miyazaki film, :Kiki's Delivery Service.: Particularly, there's a great piece in the score to that film written by <a href="spotify:artist:7nzSoJISlVJsn7O0yTeMOB" data-name="Joe Hisaishi">Joe Hisaishi</a> called "A Town with an Ocean View." I absolutely love that cue, as well as the entirety of that soundtrack and movie.
