Ocho De Bastos

Ocho de Bastos (translation: Eight of Clubs) is one of the most popular and sought after Latin Pop Rock bands in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. Founded in 2009 by a group of enthusiastic young musicians, Ocho de Bastos’ sound is an energetic fusion of tropical rhythms with Latin rock. A unique guitar sound, blended with powerful drums, Latin percussion, and catchy brass riffs complement Ocho de Bastos’ unique style.

Ocho de Bastos has successfully performed in major festivals (more than 80,000 in attendance) and other performances that support diversity and various charities. Broad audiences (including people from different ethnicities, backgrounds, and ages) enjoy and dance to the contagious rhythms of Ocho de Bastos.

After years of performing in front of international crowds, Ocho de Bastos expresses new musical influences in their 2018 album “Contigo Quiero,” which includes exotic rhythms from Spain, Africa, South America and the Caribbean. A well-balanced blend of exotic and modern bounces make “Contigo Quiero” a truly enjoyable and fun musical production.
