Amnesia is the first release for the Brooklyn based psych-soul project Ochre. It was written and recorded by local musician Benjamin Allen Adams from 2017-2020 in his Brooklyn apartment. The album explores themes of pain, spiritual growth, patriarchy and psychedelia.
Benjamins role in Brooklyn Psych Rock band Evolfo has contributed greatly toward the sonic landscape he finds himself in here, but on Amnesia He was also inspired heavily by artist like Shuggie Otis, Four Tet, Animal Collective, and Boards of Canada. As each track transitions seamlessly into the next on Amnesia the lofi, psychedelic aesthetic shines through.
