Octavia

Octavia is a rock band from Bolivia, South America. Formed in 1988, it originated in the city of La Paz, they began their musical career under the name of Stress and later as CODA 3.

In 1996 CODA 3 decides to change its name to OCTAVIA and with it add to its music elements of the traditional and popular culture of Bolivia, highlighting the use of rhythms and samplers on which they base a renewed conception of Rock. It is in these years that Sony Music International signs and produces the albums: Aura (1996), Ciclos (1998), Octavia Acústico (1999) and 4 (2000).
At this stage the record production reaches gold and platinum records in all cases, starting an international career highlighting tours of the United States, Peru, Colombia and Chile.
After the contractual break with Sony Music, Octavia signed a contract with Flag Stone Records (USA) and produced the albums: Talismán (2004) and Master Plan (2006). It is worth mentioning that Talisman is recorded and edited in English.
For 2007 OCTAVIA decided to launch its productions under a Bolivian label Dedos Records, producing the albums: Octavia Al Aire Libre (2007), Medular (2009), Octavia en Vivo (DVD) (2010) and Superluz (2014).
Currently Octavia is made up of: Omar Gonzales (voice), Vladimir Perez (Bass) and Simón Luján (guitar) and Martin Fox (drums).
