Octávio Cabuata is an Angolan DJ and producer born in the Namibe province, where he began his musical journey. From an early age, he was influenced by the richness of African music, particularly Angolan sounds. His first contact with electronic music sparked an immediate passion, shaping his sonic identity over the years.
In 2018, he released his first international collaboration with renowned South African DJ and producer CUEBUR on the track Controvento. Two years later, in 2020, he joined forces with acclaimed artists Johnny Ramos (Cape Verde) and Yuri Da Cunha (Angola) to release Feel The Vibe, further expanding his presence in the Afro house scene.
The year 2021 marked another major milestone in his career with the release of Levando a Vida, a collaboration with Liriany, remixed by the renowned French DJ and producer Manoo and released under Uncover Records. The track reached the top of the Afro House category on Traxsource, the world’s leading house music platform, receiving support from industry giants like Louie Vega.
That same year, Octávio founded his own record label, Soolc Music, establishing himself not only as an artist but also as a curator and driving force in Afro house music.
Throughout his journey, he has worked with numerous renowned artists, including Idd Aziz, Yuri Da Cunha, Lizwi, Kyaku Kyadaff, AMMERE, Calema, and Soraia Ramos, solidifying his position as one of the most promising figures in contemporary Afro house.
