Founded in 1989, the Octopodes is Johns Hopkins University’s premier co-ed a cappella group, bringing their blue-clad energy everywhere they go. Over the last 25 years, the Octopodes have found success both on-stage and in the studio, with multiple appearances in the Semi-Finals of ICCA and numerous awards and accolades for their studio albums.
Along with competing and recording, the Octopodes take time to perform concerts on the JHU campus, collaborate with nearby groups, attend a cappella festivals, and excite outside audiences at off-campus gigs and performances. Wherever they go and whatever they do, the Octopodes are always sure to follow the four D’s: diction, dynamics, derformance, and dafterparty!
