Odd Panda is the artistic instrumental beats outlet of Nico Ottmann, a Nuremberg born music producer and audio engineer who is currently based in Prague. Being raised in a non-musical family his mother gifted him by introducing and exposing him many varieties of music when he was a child. After learning the flute and trumpet in school, he eventually became the lead singer in a local band before putting down his musical endeavors when he entered his adulthood. However, it wasn’t until he experienced a massive setback in his professional career that made him return to his musical passion to learn music production and audio engineering. A few years down the road, his persistence and joy of living have rewarded and proved him right for choosing this path.
Ranging from peaceful and ambient pieces to energetic, jazz influenced uptempo beats, he enjoys having multiple outlets for different emotions and inner sensations. Rooted in lo-fi hip hop, he explores its deepest layers and isn’t afraid to blur the edges and push beyond the genre’s limits. Odd Panda’s music provides a sonic companionship for all activities in his listener’s everyday life.
