Debut EP ONSRA is out now -
From the Boro language of north-eastern India, Onsra refers to that bittersweet moment when you love for the last time or the realisation that the love won't last.
It is an album about love, hope, resignation, desperate optimism and also failing at all levels simultaneously.
The songs are from a personal catalogue of experiences lived or in hope to have lived.
The sound has a dark misty tone with vivid dance elements to it. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that it’s a melancholic dance album for people who are too anxious to dance.
The album is written & composed by Sumit Sharma with Sara Al Sayed’s arresting vocals, Sean Aaron's sinuous guitars and Ryan James’s baselines, which hold the grounds together.
Produced by Sumit Sharma with Vishnu Pillai
Mixed & Mastered by Vishnu Pillai
